The tools were never the problem — and for five straight wins in Games 051 through 062, the results finally weren't either. Then came the hardest two-game turn of any career in this league: a 3-of-9, 7-point Hot Seat night in Game 063, followed by Game 064 — the first scoreless game in Association history, 0-of-3 with 4 turnovers and a PRF of zero, back-to-back Hot Seats to slam the door on the hottest run he's ever had. The profile in between is still what it always promised: 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks a night — top-three in the league — making the paint a negotiation. (The jumper stays a rumor — 48.0% from three is deep in the league's bad zone — so every ounce of his value lives inside, and that's fine.) The record still reads 14-24 — the deepest losing ledger among the regulars — and the pairing chart explains most of it: 5-13 all-time alongside GoodKarmaa, with the strangest footnote in the league attached. Across those 13 defeats Jaycross still poured in 160 points — 12.3 a night, playing in an offense where Karmaa dealt 90 assists over those same games — including a perfect 9-of-9 for 20 in Game 032 with a dozen Karmaa dimes behind it, and it STILL ended in a loss. The buckets were never the problem; the math around them was. Add 3-7 with TJ09 against a tidy 7-3 whenever he shares the floor with xMrCluTcHx801, and the conclusion writes itself: same player, very different scoreboards — the deck he's dealt into matters. And the recent stretch answered "which one walks in" with: both, on alternating nights. Game 078 was the good one — 18 points on a nearly flawless 8-of-9 with 3 blocks in a 2-point win. Game 079, one night later, was the other guy: 6 points on 2-of-7, zero assists, the only sub-B grade on the floor, and career Hot Seat number FOUR — the most in the league behind only Rick's seven. An 8-of-9 shooter and a 2-of-7 shooter are sharing one jersey, and until the good one starts showing up consecutive nights, the evaluation stays exactly where it's been all season: unfinished. One number that stands out for the wrong reason: 55% of their made field goals are dunks. When they drive, they’re looking to finish — not to read the defense and find who’s open. At 2.5 assists per game that pattern is hard to ignore, and it’s exactly what clogs a lane and limits what the offense can do around them.
